Christmas has come early. I know I said we’d have changes for the playoffs, but they’re ready now!!!
Are you ready to make the rest of the season extra fun here at Pretty Good Picks? Great news, fun is here and in the form of amping up your confidence picks…
Here’s what it is… your nine confidence picks can each now be MULTIPLIED BY 10!! There’s a slider, you can slide your risk tolerance. Let’s GOOOO!!!
Here’s how it works…
Regular picks (for each game):
1 for winner, 1 for market, 1 for total… and reminder if you nail it exactly that’s 1 more point for up to FOUR total points. You get zero if you are wrong.
Confidence points (you get nine of these, total):
Take the slider, and set it to the risk tolerance you have between 1-10, let’s say you pick 10, for max fun (but any value >0 counts as one of your nine picks)
Winners: risk 1 x 10 for winner (if you lose you also lose 1 x 10)
— Max win is 10, max lose is 10
Markets: risk 1.5 x 10 for market (if you lose you only lose 1 x10)
— Max win is 15, max lose is 10
Totals: risk 1.5 x 10 for totals (if you lose you only lose 1 x 10)
— Max win is 15, max lose is 10
This means… you can now earn up to 44 points for a single game…. ok this is *kinda* unlikely because you’d have to nail the exact score, but still… considering the weekly pick leader earns something like 40 points total, this is HUGE!!!
The help page on the picks site has been updated with the new scoring rules, so head over there if you want more details.
Big ups, less-big downs, let’s get on this point rollercoaster!!!
Let me know what you think, because I love a great slider and hope you do too.
See there’s a cushion here… it’s harder to figure out the market and total so better upside for the same downside risk, you feel me?!
